Not Sure What To See And Do In New York City? Here’s Your List!
You cannot see everything in New York City on a single trip – Period! NYC is one of the most charming cities in the world, and also among the most expensive. Of course, not everyone has a huge budget, but there are attractions and experiences that you cannot afford to miss. In this post, we are covering a few things that you must consider on your first couple of trips.
The landmarks
The Empire State Building, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and American Museum of Natural History are three of the most important attractions that you need to check. The good part is all of these three are covered with the NY CityPASS. You can also cover the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 Memorial & Museum for the same pass. If you don’t want to see all the 80 museums that this city offers, these should suffice for now.
Enjoy a jazz session
Birdland Jazz Club is among the best-rated jazz clubs in NYC, and we recommend that you make time for it. Jazz is extremely loved in the city, and even the weekdays are often full. You can check online for the list of events and concerts, book your tickets before arrival. We recommend that you reach at least 30 minutes before the show to get a good table.
Take the Staten Island Ferry
If you are low on budget and don’t want to climb all the way to the Statue of Liberty, we recommend that you take the Staten Island Ferry. You can take the ferry from South Ferry terminal (Manhattan) and no tickets are required. You can see some stunning views of the Statue and also the Manhattan Skyline. Believe the travelers when they say that the experience is unique. Ferries leave every 30 minutes.
Do walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and visit Central Park
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most unique bridges in the entire world, and it takes around 30 minutes to walk from one end to another. In the evening, the sunset view is amazing, but do try for a morning walk for dodging the crowd. Central Park is as popular and special as you might have seen in the movies. This is a huge park, and you can also find great concerts and shows now and then on a lucky day. Make sure to have at least a couple of hours for this.
